Nate's POV

“Can you tell me what is going on here?” Jacob asked as he was walking in.Irene followed us quietly, I guess she trusted my judgment that much, and that was why she was not questioning my decision, but she followed us nevertheless.

“Perhaps you want to be thrown in there with him,” Scott said and Danny gave him a murderous look.

“Your job here is done, Danny, go and track the arrival of my uncle’s team,” I said to him and he left immediately.

I entered the investigation room with Andrew and Vera.

“I need your help, Jacob.”

“I figured.”

“What?”

“I am an Alpha myself, I know how the weight of these decisions can bear on you, so what do you need?”

“I need your help to catch the criminal.”

“And that includes my staying here as the criminal, right?”

“Yes.”

“I have two suspects, and we will keep our eyes out for them while we make them believe that you are the criminal and you are getting p
