James's POV
Unknown to them, I stood by listening to their conversation. Yes, I had come to tell Layla about his findings when I heard Nate’s voice.
I was just scoffing and smirking when I was hearing all of Nate's lies to her. To me, the best award for liars should be given to Nate. How could he lie that Layla’s uncle was killed by some hunters when in the real sense he had been responsible for the man’s death?
I quickly walked away from the door when I heard Nate's footsteps approaching. I didn’t want him to see me. I would come back later to meet Layla. I said to myself as I walked to my room. There was a big smirk on my face as I majestically walked to my room. I had a plan up my sleeves, and that was to make sure that Nate never finds peace and happiness in his life.
