Andrew's POV
“That’s good to know, my lady,” I said, my feigned smile still plastered on my face. Yes, it was a feigned smile because it seemed like I was forced to come here. That wasn’t really the case though. I just hated smiling, but I had no choice than to smile because that was the only way to make Layla comfortable around me. And I need her to be comfortable in order to make my job of keeping her safe easy.
She noticed that my smiles were feigned, but that was the least of her troubles. I could tell that all she cared about was to go back to mourning but she didn’t want to do it in front of me.
