I watched her as we made our way to where Randall was already, with some men frowning and armed with the military weapons I had seen them carrying in that military barracks where I met them for the first time. It took me a while to understand that, no matter how agile and lethal they were by nature, weapons were still an advantageous resource in an unknown place, especially when faced with even more skilled humans.
“Why would it be impossible?”
Kelly looked at me slyly.
“You are the mate of an alpha. Alphas don’t divide their females. Don’t you think Leanna would have found another one to take revenge for him bringing her own human mate to live with her? So, no. You two together would never share Randall’s bed. The day he takes you the way he did, he will never lie down with another.”
