“Don’t worry about me,” Randall said, caressing Leanna’s hair. “We’re going by the river because it’s faster. You’ll see me again before the moon changes.”
Leanna sniffed softly, but she didn’t seem to be crying at all.
“I want to go with you,” she said in a sly tone.
Randall made a low sound. It was something so sensual. So intimate. I took another step back. Leanna snuggled up even more into his chest. Well, the two of them were pretending I wasn’t there, so I decided to play along. I turned my back and walked away quickly. I felt nauseous. Leanna was a bitch; I didn’t know her, but I knew she was.
