MIGUEL'S POV

What in the world is going on?

“What did you say?” A gruff voice snapped out, sounding more like he was speaking through gritted teeth. You could practically hear his feet hitting the floor as it shook with rage.

“You're trying to tell me that you don't know how an assassin entered the palace and attempted to kill my son?” Valeria was still in shock. She has this mixed feeling on that I couldn't detect what was going on in her mind. Her face looks like she knows something about the attack. Father stared at me and I quickly hugged her, turning her back to him because he would detect something was wrong if their eyeballs could meet. She was surprised with the sudden hug, but stayed put until she felt father was gone. Valeria saved my life today.

“This is your reward for winning the horse race, your highness” an official bowed, stretching off the purse coin and I slap it away from his hands, it shattered into different angles.
