POV: Cassidy Kane

The lesson I had taught the men was rather severe as they were all respectful toward me throughout the night.

After washing up and having eaten some food I left the mansion to search for Kit.

Since that was what I came to do anyway I couldn't delay it. Though I knew I had no way of finding him as his scent had been erased due to the rain.

At first, I wandered through the city when I suddenly picked up a familiar scent.

I frowned as I stopped to confirm if the scent belonged to Kit. After some minutes I was sure the scent belonged to him.

Nothing that I knew he wouldn't be far off from where I caused the lingering scent here meant he had passed her.

The rain had washed up all the scent so there was no way Kit's scent would be here if he didn't pass this place.

This was the only conclusion I could come up with regarding Kit's scent that was lingering in the air here.
