Book 2: Chapter 73

Odette’s POV

“Good morning baby” Malachi says as I step out of the shower. He is clad in a pair of grey sweatpants and a white Tee. His hair in a messy bun while he has a bored look on his face.

I look at the time and it’s already past seven.

“Aren’t you going to work today?” I ask him, making my way towards the vanity table but instead of answering, he pulls his huge body off the bed and starts walking towards me like a panther wanting to pounce on his prey. As soon as he gets to me, he encircles my waist from behind and presses a gentle kiss on my bare back.

“I am not going to work today” he whispers into my ear, “today, I am going to stay at home all day”

“I thought you had a lot of work?”

Another kiss to the back and my insides heat up. We haven’t been intimate in a few days and I can’t lie, I miss him but the recent happenings have kept us on our toes. I missed him, I missed having him buried inside of me, I missed looking like a mess
