Michelle’s POV

As soon as Enzo envelopes me in his arms, I instantly feel alive. When I woke up earlier and I didn’t see him, it felt like my whole life had been shattered into a thousand pieces and what’s more, my heart broke when I heard him saying he could not come see me. How can he leave me alone when I am in this condition? Shouldn’t he be by my side so I will feel better?

But right now, it is not about me. This man is literally shaking in my arms and I know why, he is scared.

“Are you okay?” His voice filters into my ear as he pulls away from me gently, “are you fine? Did something happen to the babies? Are you…” Enzo’s voice trails off when I don’t say anything and just continue staring back at me, this man literally has tears well up in his eyes.

“If you badly wanted to know how I was doing, why did you refuse to come and see me?” I ask him.
