Nicholas’s POV

I push open the door and saunter into the room. The moment Natalia sees me, she slowly pushes her body to a sitting position as a sigh leaves her lips.

After her fall two days ago, I had to bring her back home after confirming that she lost the baby due to a miscarriage.

At the time, I felt like the worst person on earth because that child was supposed to be mine but now it is gone. No matter how I thought about it, I couldn’t wrap my head around it but now seated in front of her with a small smile on her lips, I just don’t know how to feel.

“Why do you look so glum?” She asks me, “are you okay?”

“How do you feel now?” I ask her in return, my gaze traveling around her.

“Just a little headache but I am tough, I will be fine”

“I see, you will be fine,” I scoff as I take my hand through my hair as the thought of Michelle winds its way into my head.

I remember how her giggles and her chuckles sound, how she makes a po
