When we got to where I parked the car, I went towards Athena's door and opened it for her. 

She stepped in, her eyes catching mine for a moment, and I closed the door before heading to my side.

The smell of smoke from the fire lingered on our clothes, a reminder of what we’d just done.

The moment I got in, I noticed she staring at me in a way that wasn't new. I'd seen that look before, the one that made heat pool in my stomach.
