Dalia’s POV

Was that adoration I saw in his eyes? I pinched myself discreetly to be sure I wasn’t dreaming and it was Alexander freaking Sawyer that stood in front of me, looking at me in adoration.

He came towards us and Amber launched herself at him immediately she looked up and saw him.

“Daddy, can we keep Dalia? I like her,” she said with a very adorable child-like innocence. I could not hold back my laughter when I saw Alexander widen his eyes before looking upward like he was praying to God for guidance.

He shot me a playful glare and I tried to reign in my laughter. It felt so good to see the big bad boss wrapped around his daughter’s fingers.

Taking a deep breath, he answered her. “Amber, princess, we can’t keep Dalia,” he said to her and Amber’s lower lips quivered with tears.

“But why, Daddy. I like her and I want to keep her,” she said, almost in tears. Seeing as Alexander was confused on what to say to pacify her, I stepped in.<
