Alexander’s POV

I could have easily been the happiest man alive if I entered a competition for it. I was painfully hard but that did not stop me from being excited and happy.

She agreed to give me a second chance.

I met Damien immediately I entered the ballroom again. “You almost missed your speech, man. Where did you go?” He asked and all I did was smile. He gave me a knowing look and shook his head before leading me towards the stage.

I cleared my throat and picked a glass of wine and a spoon from a waiter that was standing by the stage. Clearing my throat, I clinked the spoon against the glass to get everyone’s attention.

“Can I get everyone’s attention?” I spoke into the microphone and everywhere went silent. “Thank you. I’ll make this short so everyone can get on with what they are doing,” I said as I smiled at the crowd, earning a few smiles too.
