Dalia’s POV
I looked at his back after what he said but he definitely meant every word he said. “Alex,” I tried to reason with him, “you can’t really mean that. I don’t know what this bitch is planning but…” I got cut off when he shouted at me.
“GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY OFFICE!!!!” He screamed at me and I was frozen solid on the spot. I wished my legs to move, wished my body to propel forward and plead with him to give me another chance.
I was willing to go on my knees, cry my eyes out and plead till my body falls apart but I couldn’t do any of that.
“You heard him, sweetheart. I’ll get going if I were you,” Ava taunted me from where she stood and that was my cue to leave.
I couldn’t speak after what Ava said. If he couldn’t defend me when his first love said something to me, I shouldn’t disgrace myself further and just leave with the rest of the dignity I had left.
