Chapter 25. At Dawn

Meanwhile, in the bathroom, Amy soaked herself in the warm water. It calmed her feelings and comforted her exhausted body. But then she sobbed and hugged herself, feeling dirty to sell her body. Tomorrow would be her parents’ funeral, and she was no longer a virgin. She wasn’t the same person as she was, and it was because of money. 

Shedding her tears, she sniffed, but tried to muffle her sobs with a hand. Samuel didn’t force her to accept the offer. It was she who agreed to accept it, but she couldn’t let go of the unworthy feeling as she had been a prostitute to Samuel.
