Chapter 33. Visiting Grandma
She took a deep breath. “Give me a minute to wash my face.”
Then Amy went to the bathroom, cleaning her face from the tears. After splashing water a few times on her face and neck, she was better. When she left the bathroom, Amy saw Samuel stand beside Jillian’s bed. He tidied her sister’s hair. Her steps stopped.
“Don’t worry. I’ll take care of you and your sister. No one will hurt both of you again.” He smiled a little. “It’s strange that the hardship brought your sister to me, but maybe it’s fate. I won’t let her go unless she asks me. This I can promise you.” Samuel took a deep breath. “She loved you so much until she sacrificed herself for you. So, please regain your consciousness soon, my future sister-in-law.”
