Kelvin’s POV
I drove into the underground parking lot and stopped. The clock on my car dashboard reminded me it was 10:00 PM. I had waited to bathe and read to the kids before coming here.
I stayed in the car long after I parked, wondering if I should go back home and slip into my warm sheets. The club came highly recommended, and the attraction was the promise of exclusivity—whatever happened at the club stayed there.
A simple phone call had gotten me a VIP booking, and a special index card had arrived this afternoon for me. It was blank at first glance, but if held under a light, it revealed its characters. There was a number on one side of the body: 7716. Whatever that meant.
After Vivian left, I lost my interest in women. I was filled with revulsion at what she had done and fear of falling victim again. I had been with some women in the past, but the arrangement suited me perfectly. It was a catalog of one-night stands and hurried elevator quickies
