Chapter 10
Kelvin’s POV
Grace’s last question weighed heavily on my mind as I rolled to a stop in front of my house. Vivian was a sore topic I hated to discuss.
She tugged at her seat belt, and I leaned forward to help her. Our hands connected, and she jerked her hand away as if she were burnt.
“Here, let me help you,” I said as I pushed the belt off.
“Thank you,” she whispered. Her breathy tone led me down memory lane to the moment I buried myself inside her. No matter how hard I tried, the scenes were etched in my memory.
I cleared my throat and dispelled the fog of lust. “I must warn you, it can be chaotic inside. The kids can be noisy sometimes, and I’m terrible at disciplining them,” I added with a smile.
Kira said I spoiled them too much, but I couldn’t help it. It must be difficult for them to grow up without a mother, and yet they were such sweet kids.
