Chapter 18. Mi Casa es Su Casa
Nathan’s POV
Amelie was speechless. Her eyes darted around, not knowing where to look first. She seems overwhelmed.
“You seem frazzled, Amelie,” I said, trying to catch her attention.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been in a place this extravagant,” she looked around in wonder.
And then she saw it, the reason I had picked this place. “The view!” she gasped. “I can’t believe the view!” She ran to the windows. All of Central Park was laid out in front of us. All the twinkling lights and beauty of New York were on display, but it all paled compared to Amelie standing there. Her wide-eyed innocence, captivated by the view, was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.
Amelie’s stomach growled, and I couldn’t help but chuckle. “We'd better feed you before the beast is unleashed.”
