Chapter 203. The Necklace

Amelie’s POV

My Gawd…I thought to myself. Last night with Nathan was amazing. Who would have thought I’d let any guy do what he did last night? It just seemed so right to surrender all of me over to him.

Now I’m standing in the kitchen, sipping my tea while I get Eliza’s lunch together. Today is her first day of school after her parents' deaths. She’s currently sitting at the table, eating her cereal and fruit.

The phone rings, and I pick it up.

“Hello,” I asked

“Good Morning, Mrs. Michaels, this is Lucas at the front desk,” Lucas stated. “Paul McConard is here to see you and Dr. Michaels.”

“Please send him up, Lucas,” I informed.

“Very well, Mrs. Michaels. Have a nice day,” Lucas said cheerily.
