Chapter 31. Sealed With a Rock

Nathan’s POV

Amelie is here for good. I’m not letting her go. I can’t wait for us to say I do. I called ahead and had Henrique set up dinner for us to discuss the contract. I usher Amelie into the apartment, and she has a big grin.

“What are you thinking about that to have you grinning so big?” I ask Amelie.

“I’m just a little giddy that I get to live in an apartment with such a spectacular view,” Amelie says as she walks towards the living room window.

“Oh, and here I thought it’s my companionship that was the enticing thing,” I joke, “You have mortally wounded me.” I put my hand over my heart like I’ve been stabbed.

Amelie turns towards me and laughs, “Oh, Nathaniel. You’re so dramatic.”

“What did you just call me?” I cock my eyebrow at her.
