Chapter 30. The Move
Amelie's POV
It’s only been two days, but it feels weird to be back here, especially with Nathan standing in my living room. What must he think? My apartment is worlds apart from his lifestyle. I’m embarrassed he’s here.
“This is a cute little apartment,” Nathan says, “Too bad there are so many problems with it.”
“Are you being sarcastic?” I questioned him.
“No, why would I be sarcastic?” He asked, puzzled.
“C’mon, Nathan, this apartment is nothing compared to your place.”
“Amelie, do you honestly think I’m that stuck up? I know not everyone is as privileged as I am. That doesn’t make me think I’m any better than anyone else. I’m so proud of you for what you have accomplished with all the struggles you have gone through.”
