Only now did Hebe remember the main issue. She snorted before speaking, “My father said to give up your role in Director Lee’s film for me. He’ll forgive your previous nonsense in exchange for this concession and continue to treat you like his daughter.”

Lani found this shamelessness amusing. Just because she had been overly accommodating before, always yielding roles to Hebe, did Hebe and her father consider her a fool?

A hint of disdain flashed in her eyes, and Lani chuckled. “Treat me like a daughter? I want to kneel and thank your father for his generosity.”

“But I don’t need this kind of blessing. I’ve said it before. Since I stepped out of that house, I cut ties with all of you. Don’t contact me again in the future.”

Angry, Lani hung up, conveniently blocking Hebe’s phone number, feeling utterly annoyed.

On the other side, Hebe was suddenly stunned by Lani’s unexpected resistance. Although it wasn’t the first time she had asked Lani to give up a r
