Our heads turned in the direction.
Curiosity tugged at my brows as I scanned the bow for the source of the footsteps. Then, a movement in the shadows caught my attention—diamond earrings and a necklace glittering under the moonlight. A slender figure moved with the finesse of a model.
“Alec,” called a quiet voice—so familiar it sent bile rising in my throat.
I shut my eyes, wishing this was a dream. But it wasn’t—I was here. He was here. And now she was here.
I reopened my eyes just as she stepped into the light, wearing a white dress so sheer and short it looked like it belonged in a bedroom, with a neckline that threatened to defy gravity.
