As the day started to fade into a cool evening, Giannis suddenly clutched his head, a pained grimace crossing his handsome face. Regina’s heart pounded in her chest as she rushed to his side, dropping her handkerchief in the process.
“Giannis, are you okay?” she asked, her voice laced with concern. He looked down at her, his eyes glassy, but he quickly composed himself, steadying his breathing.
“I’m fine,” he assured her, his voice a little shaky, but he managed a small smile. “Just a little dizzy spell, nothing to worry about.”
Giannis knew that his symptoms were a whole lot to worry about, but Regina couldn’t learn the truth about his condition yet.
He knew he was being cruel by hiding the fact that he was sick from her, but he had no other choice. He had to achieve his goal first.
