Chapter 102. The Greatest Gift

Sofie’s POV

“Are you sure you have everything with you? Have you checked your bag properly? We don’t want you forgetting anything important,” Roman said as we walked to the garage.

I huffed as I zipped my bag closed. “Yes, Roman, I have. This is the fifth time I’m rechecking my bag now.”

Today was my appointment date, and I initially thought I would be the more nervous of the two of us. But Roman had proven me wrong with how paranoid and jumpy he had been since the day began. It was the first time he had accompanied me to an appointment since he was discharged from the hospital five weeks ago.

Wrapping an arm around my waist, he gazed down at me and said, “I guess I’m just being paranoid over this appointment. The last time I felt like this was when I had to take the college entrance examinations.”
