“Are you sure you have everything with you? Have you checked your bag properly? We don’t want you forgetting anything important,” Roman said as we walked to the garage.

I huffed as I zipped my bag closed. “Yes, Roman, I have. This is the fifth time I’m rechecking my bag now.”

Today was my appointment date, and I initially thought I would be the more nervous of the two of us. But Roman had proven me wrong with how paranoid and jumpy he had been since the day began.
