A YEAR LATER
"What do you think of this place?" Roman asked, as we strolled into a building inside The Eiffel tower.
Yeah, you read it right.
We were at the le jules verne restaurant, which was situated in the super-imposing, historical structure.
I had graduated from college a week ago, and Roman had brought me to Paris for a vacation.
It was the first time since I gave birth that I was away from Marcus, and I badly missed my son.
I knew he would definitely be well looked after by his great-grandmother, and her staff, but a feeling akin to guilt still tugged at my heart.
Earlier that day, Roman had even facetimed his grandmother at my request, so I could see him, but it still didn't feel enough in the slightest.
I guessed that was what motherhood did to someone.
