Ruby’s POV

Everyone was standing in line that was going to a woman who had a huge brass kettle beside her, and from it, she was pouring food onto everyone’s plate.

I took a plate and stood in line.

Though the line was not too crowded, because I was starving, I was hallucinating as if it was too long.
