Chapter 61. Nostalgic Memories

Nina’s POV

My phone buzzed in my hand, signaling that I had received a message. I furrowed my brows slightly and tilted my head downwards to see who had sent me the message. I had expected it to be Alexander, though.

But much to my surprise, it was from another person. A name that made my blood boil flashed across the screen as a wave of nostalgic memories washed over me.

Leo.

I clenched my jaws, trying to control the anger that was threatening to overshadow me. My thumb hovered above the message as I hesitated to open it, I was in a heated argument with my sanity and mind whether I was to acknowledge Leo’s message or not.

It had been more than seven months now since we had last spoken to each other, and our last message sent to each other was more than seven months ago. Yet, here Leo was, back in my DM once again on the day of my birthday like a ghost from the past I had fought so hard to bury.

The message Leo had sent was brief
