Chapter 50. Belong to Her

"Hey Janice, what are you cooking?" Sarah asked as she entered the kitchen to find Janice stirring the pot.

"Chicken and peas soup, you must be tired, just go take a shower, I'm almost done," said Janice. She knew Sarah was going to help her prepare dinner.

Sarah shook her head, "I still have enough strength to do anything!" she said cheerfully, her hands busy peeling the fresh potatoes on the table.

Janice smiled, "You really are a passionate young girl; I'm glad to know that we will be working together to develop this farmhouse," she said earnestly.

Sarah grimaced. Everyone except herself knew about Victoria's plan to give the farmhouse to her.

"Do you and Mike have kids?" Sarah asked, changing the subject because she wasn't ready to talk about their farming business yet.
