Chapter 7. Return

Sarah had been living with Victoria for almost two weeks. She copied all of Victoria’s movements. The way she talks, the way she smiles, the way she eats, and even the way she gets angry. Over time, she felt so immersed in the role that she was living that she often forgot to act like herself.

Of course, it was not easy for her, especially since she had to learn to smoke continuously even though she had not fully recovered from her surgery. That made her sick, but she tried to hide it because she didn’t want Victoria to change her mind and cancel their plans.

That day, she was sitting in the TV room holding Victoria’s journal, which she had reread many times, when suddenly Victoria sat in front of her and said, “You passed the test.”

Sarah stared at Victoria wide-eyed.

“Are you serious?”

“Just don’t talk about rape with anyone but Benjamin...” Victoria said in a voice filled with bitterness.

Sarah nodded, “So when will this mission start?” she ask
