Chapter 70. Finding Dylan

Thomas’s POV

Thrusting my hands in my pockets, I rock back and forth on my feet, staring at Alpha Ethan. We don’t like each other; that much has been established. But I need his help, so I must swallow my pride.

“So,” Alpha Ethan finally breaks the silence. “What is this favor that you need?”

“I need you to take in a rogue,” I tell him.

Alpha Ethan laughs loudly, “And just why would I do this for you?”

“Because he is my former Beta and Cora’s mate. I cannot take him back to my pack just yet. He has to earn it,” I explain.

“But he doesn’t need to earn the right to be part of the Paxton Pack? Emma will never go for this,” Alpha Ethan shakes his head.

“No one needs to know,” I tell Ethan. “I just need to know that he and Cora will be safe until we can deal with her parents and Alpha Richard.”

Running his fingers through his hair, Ethan lets out a low growl. “Where is he now?”

“At some scummy hotel on the side of the highway.
