“We need to speak alone.”
Those words echoed across the vast chambers of the throne room, and Aria froze.
She blinked, a smile tugging at the corner of her lips. She was amused, not only by her father’s pride, but by his arrogance.
Of all the things she had expected the man who had abandoned her to say, it definitely wasn’t that. The fact that he felt that he even had the right to demand a private meeting with her directly told her how he felt about his actions over the years.
A soft chuckle slipped past her lips at the absurdity of his statement before she reigned her emotions in.
“Definitely not,” she shook her head as a frown formed on her face. Her tone was eerily calm, but laced with steel and rage. “There is absolutely nothing I have to say to you that needs to be said in private. You are in my pack now, Orion, whatever you need to say, you can say it here”.
