Chapter 24. War Is Coming

Silence descended on the enclave as all the elders held their collective breaths,

The final words of Alpha Alder were still ringing throughout the room,

‘For War.’

Lucien snapped his head towards his brother, his brows furrowed, “What the hell do you mean by that?”

Alpha Alder chuckled, he rested his back on his chair and started tapping his fingers on his armrest,

“War, Alder,” Lucien asked again, “With whom?”

Alpha Alder turned to face his brother with a smirk on his face. “You’ve been slacking off Lucien,” he drawled, “In the past few weeks, we have had to face a border skirmish, a stolen convoy, and now we have had two groups of hunters go missing. We are being targeted, and we need to strike back.”

Lucien’s eyes narrowed, his fists clenched as he leaned forward.

“Who?” he growled,

Alpha Alder grinned, a hint of pride flashed through his features as he watched his brother get hooked on his bait, “The Raven Clawhold.”
