Chapter 27. A New Friend?

Aria’s breath hitched, her eyes grew wide as she stared unblinkingly at Riley.

This was obviously a joke, right?

The twins were the bane of her life growing up. Most of her scars were from their antics. They were wolves who loved to pounce on any opportunity they got to humble her.

Her mind raced as memories flashed through them. She shook her head rapidly, her pulse began racing as she took a step back in shock.

Not the pack, not them, and please, not the twins.

Her eyes narrowed as she strengthened her resolve, her lips parted, and she asked again, “The twins are here in this clawhold? Now?”

Riley nodded, her gaze held a hint of pity in it. She had seen the way Aria had grown stiff just by hearing that she would be seeing the twins very soon.
