Chapter 10
There were so many horses, and just ahead, there was a track where the horses raced, with numerous people buying and selling horses. I didn’t know if I would be able to count the number of horses here. I turned to Duke and asked, “You said you just wanted me to see the sunlight. Why did you bring me here?”
“Do you want to return to the cell already?” he asked. I said no and kept quiet, waiting for his next instruction. I followed him to the race tracks, where many horses were being ridden, and we got to a secluded area.
“Do you know how to ride a horse?” he asked.
“I have never ridden one before,” I answered honestly.
“Isn’t today your lucky day?” he asked and smiled as a stallion was brought before us. It was so beautiful.
“Give him a name; he is new,” Duke said.
“I would name you Ariel,” I said, looking into his eyes. Immediately, Ariel and I connected, and I knew we had developed a liking for each other.
