Lilian’s POV

Burn that page, I cannot erase the time of sleep, I cannot be loved so please set me free or dear Joan. I cannot embrace the warmth that you give.

Joan is my best friend and sister. She is one of the reasons I breathe and the one of the three major keys to my heart.

I don’t know what has come over me but I came into the werewolf world with a clear mission and now friendship and love is distracting me.

I remembered how I begged to be the one listed to fulfil this mission but her friendship and his love is not letting me Carry out my mission with my full strength.

I could have killed her, I could have driven that sword through her heart and she did die there on the instant but I decided to drive it through her stomach and even added a portion to delay her bleeding to give Duke enough time to save her.

I did this because I cannot bring myself to kill her. She is my best friend and taking her life would make me commit suicide.
