Chapter 19. Will She Be Cured?

“That’s not what you should worry about now.” Her first sister-in-law chuckled. “Let’s focus on making you look great.”

“Your right, Clara,” said her second sister-in-law. “The skin care specialists will arrive any moment. Go inside and change your clothes.”

Lucy looked between her sisters-in-law, they were both stunningly attractive. And they always seemed to glow more every time she saw them. Was this the effect of living with someone you love? Even with many kids, they always looked happy.

She wished she could also have the kind of bond they shared with her brothers. But that would require loving each other. After apologizing that day, Cedric rarely called her. She even tried to speak to him sometimes, but he always seemed to be busy.

Their conversations were almost always short and he would cut the call before they even speak for a minute, giving an excuse that he was busy. She let out a sigh, then stood up and walked inside the walk-in closet. Maybe afte
