Chapter 22. His Façade
Upstairs, in the dressing room.
Lucy sat in front of the mirror as the makeup artists applied the final touch to her makeup. Her long black hair was packed in a messy bun, decorated with crystal hairpins that twinkled and glowed. And several strands of hair hung down the sides of her face.
“So pretty.” One of the artists commented with a giggle after they were done and Lucy smiled.
Staring back at herself in the mirror, she really did look pretty.
Gina who had also got her makeup done helped her out of the chair as the makeup artists packed their things and left.
“Lucy, you’re going to break hearts tonight.” Gina sized her up in disbelief.
“I know right.” Lucy giggled.
The silver dress she wore was decorated with stones that glittered against the light. The dress hugged her figure across the bodice and flowed down to the floor, trailing a stream of sparkling crystals.
