Chapter 40. Special Guest

Carter was discharged from the hospital and had a hard time spending the night at Brooke street, so he had to drive back to the estate. Seeing Carter back at the house, Grandma Nana was curious as to why he was back and wanted to ask, but Trisha stopped her. The night was difficult for him, and he had a hard time breathing, the next day was Sunday, and to get his mind off things, he was going to work. He sat gloomily in the back seat of the car, with James driving and a motorcade in front and behind his car. “ How is She? ”He unexpectedly popped the question to James. “ Who? Oh! Ms. Audrey traveled to her home ”.

His face tightened while he glared at James from the front mirror. “ And you didn't think to inform me, what if she decides not to come back? ”

“ Am sorry boss… I thought ”.

“ You do not think anything, you do as you are told, take me back home, and arrange my jet for a departure to Florida ”.

“ But… Boss… I thought ”. Carter shot him a daring glare
