Chapter 82. Venomous Pain

Audrey had just finished preparing most of the meal when the doorbell rang, so she excitedly went ahead to open the door as she couldn't wait to tell Emma about the seafood she bought. 

“ Hi dear, I hope that I am not in the wrong place? ”. A tall gentleman stood before her with a tender smile that could warm any heart. “ Good day, you must be Doctor Eliot? ”.

“ Puff… For a moment there, I thought I got the wrong address, is Carter home? ”.

“ Yes, please come in ”. Audrey opened the door wide, letting him step into her abode before shutting the door behind her. A smirk spread across his face as he walks I to the living room, staring at the entire space. 

“ I must say, this is not what I expected when I came to this place ”.

“ I know, I frequently get that from friends and family, but believe me, I love it here, it is quite peaceful and most of it, we are together without interruption ”.

“ Now I see why he is madly in love with you ”.
