Chapter 22. Where Is Juliet?
Mrs. Avery majestically walks towards Juliet, her head raised high.
"I ordered them not to let you out no matter what happens," she sneers as she stops right in front of Juliet. "I won’t let you go see that filthy brat Juliet. He does not deserve you, can’t you see!" She stamps her foot roughly against the tiled marble floor, almost injuring herself. "I refuse to allow you to disgrace this family any further.
"I won’t let the Pearson family’s name be dragged through the mud because of that useless nobody called Lucien Wood!" Her determined voice booms for all to hear.
The guards shift uncomfortably as they try to look for a way to get away. No one wants to be in the middle of the fuel moment between the mother and daughter.
"Mum, you have no right to stop me from leaving my own house!" Juliet states coldly.
Mrs. Avery’s eyes narrow dangerously and she steps forward.
