Chapter 10

21st Century, London

Diana started up the next ramp after whirling around a corner. She appeared to be fleeing from someone or something. She was well aware that she was on the run for her life. But the strangest part was that she was out of breath and could feel how fatigued she was at the same time. Her knees were begging her to give up.

Oddly enough. She hadn't felt this weak and exhausted since Andrew had turned her.

She was a vampire for heaven's sake, Diana thought to herself.

Even though she was a predator, she was unable to run fast since she had become too weary. It was surprising. She was supposed to be running in a blur, and never get tired. But now, she felt nothing but depleted.

Diana took a look around her and realized that she was in the future. Most likely, she was back in the twenty-first century. She concentrated for a few moments before touching her fangs, but there was nothing there. There was no further improvement
