Chapter 109
Scarlet and Thunder walked through the grand halls of the palace, the sound of their footsteps echoing against the marble floors. They made their way to the corridor, where the walls were adorned with intricate tapestries and golden sconces hung on either side of the doors.
As they walked, Scarlet turned to Thunder with a glint in her eye. "Thunder," she said, "I've been thinking. The wolf races are coming up soon, and I think it would be so exciting if you joined."
Thunder looked at her with a small smile. "I appreciate the offer, Scarlet, but I don't think I'm cut out for the wolf races. I'm not much of a racer, you know."
Scarlet's smile faded slightly, and she looked at Thunder with concern. "Is something wrong, Thunder? You seem...different lately."
