The Rejection

My tear-dried cheeks were wet again because I started crying as soon as I realized that the Alpha had no interest in me. I mean nothing to him. My life has turned upside down in the last few days, and it seems like it will never get any better. Now, even Daniel appears to hate me. My parents left me. I was always treated poorly by my step-family. What is the reason for my existence? I am better off dead.

“But I thought...I thought you came here to save me and take me back home with you?” I sobbed vulnerably. But he didn’t seem to mind my tears or cries. His face was devoid of any emotion on it.

He just looked at me with a stone-cold expression, which only made me cry harder.
