Visiting the Camp
Rosella
I immediately removed the stuffed piece of cloth from Ryan’s mouth, but he was still howling on the ground, and then I turned to see the man. He was standing at the door looking at us with a stoic face, just like ice. He was the very definition of the word ice. With his emotionless eyes and icy white hair, he looked like a real-life Jack Frost.
‘Oh crap!’ I muttered inwardly; how many times in a day am I going to get caught?
I turned to him while not meeting his eyes, as my eyes would probably give it all away.
“What is going on here?” he asked again, and I calmed myself before lying again. The number of times I have lied in the last few days is more than I have lied in my life before combined.
