Chapter 45

I shot up screaming in the middle of the night. A cruel nightmare had visited me. The night before we were talking about the worst experience of my life and it played back to me in the form of a nightmare.

It was pure torture, the fear chased me through my whole body and I was paralyzed. This feeling would probably never let me go and pursue me. One experience and it continued to torture you. 

Then I heard footsteps in my room, I immediately went on alert, someone was in my room. First trauma from the nightmare and now someone was here. 

I immediately grabbed the bedside lamp and violently ripped the plug out of the socket. I needed a gun and it was just within my reach. I never gave up without a fight.

The adrenaline rushed through my veins and I prepared to attack. Running would also be an option, but I'd try a fight first. The footsteps were far too close.

Stretching out the bedside lamp in front of me, I scanned the darkness and recognized the un
