Chapter 10. Hola, Carlos

Today was Anna’s birthday, the day that she had been waiting for since the beginning of the year! She was so excited that she felt like she could burst with so much energy. The only small downside was that she had to spend half of the day at school.

She thought about skipping her classes today and even told her parents, but they were not having it. Especially when they knew that she had to take two quizzes today: Spanish and History.

She had planned to have a party, and her parents were totally fine with it. They even told her that they would just stay for a while and give her the rest of the night to have fun with her friends.

Anna’s folks were actually cool, though sometimes they bit her head off for the tiniest of things.

She was grateful for so much on this day, but mostly, she was grateful for her mom. The fact that they literally had her come back from the dead to them reminded them every day to appreciate her and the time she spent with them.
