Chapter 9. Spilling the Beans
Anna’s best friend stared at her with widened eyes, not knowing exactly what to do. “Anna!” she cried as she tried to help.
Anna clenched her jaw so hard that her teeth hurt due to the amount of pressure she was putting on them. The pain was so much that it blurred her vision for a few seconds.
She felt like she might pass out if it continued like that.
“I’m getting your parents,” Gill said as she stood up from the bed but was stopped.
Anna could see that the eyes of her best friend were filled with fear, and she did not blame her in the slightest. “No, I’m okay…” she mumbled as she breathed heavily.
The pain was now dulling away, even though it still felt like a bunch of bees was stinging her. This was just a reminder of what Zac had told her that she needed to do: go to the very pits of hell with him.
It was either that or experiencing this unforgiving pain every once in a while.
