Chapter 11. The Party and Feelings

Anna did not know what to do, but she did know that she had to go up on the board. She could feel so many eyes on her, and her heart was thumping in her chest.

She stood to her feet, swallowed hard, and walked up in front of the class. She then flashed everyone a nervous smile as she tried to keep herself from fainting due to how her nerves were acting crazy.

“So…” the teacher began. “We all know about what happened to your classmate, Anna, recently,” he addressed the class.

A few students nodded, and the others just stared without saying anything in response.

“But then something miraculous happened!” the teacher continued. “Even though Anna’s mom may have been pronounced dead and even taken to the morgue, she was later taken from there because she had come back to life in some mysterious way!”

Anna did not feel comfortable with the story being shared with the entire class, but she had a feeling that everyone already knew.
